Project Outreach Naples (the “Organization”)
Effective date: September 9, 2025
Plain-English summary: Your gift helps us serve our neighbors. Most gifts are tax-deductible, we send receipts, we don’t sell your data, and you can cancel recurring donations anytime. We follow Florida rules for charitable solicitations and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rules for acknowledgments. Details below.
Who We Are (legal name, status, and EIN)
Donations are processed for the benefit of Project Outreach Naples, the public-facing name of Project Outreach, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation recognized as tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3).
Employer Identification Number (EIN): 90-0878840.
Mailing address: 785 23rd Street SW, Naples, FL 34117.
Tax-Deductibility & Acknowledgments
Unless stated otherwise, donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We email or mail a “contemporaneous written acknowledgment” for each donation and include the required IRS language about whether any goods or services were provided in exchange.
For single contributions of $250 or more, please keep our acknowledgment for your records (you’ll need it to claim a deduction). You may verify our tax-exempt status anytime using the IRS Tax-Exempt Organization Search. IRS
Designated (Restricted) vs. Unrestricted Gifts
If you designate a gift for a particular program or project, we fulfill that designation to the extent feasible.
If a project becomes over-funded, is completed, or is no longer feasible, we may reallocate remaining funds to the nearest related purpose or to the Organization’s greatest needs so we can keep serving effectively.
Recurring Donations
You can start, change, or cancel a recurring donation at any time, effective for future charges.
To update or cancel, use the “Manage my donation” link in your receipt or contact us using the information below. Please allow 3–5 business days to process changes before the next scheduled charge.
Refunds & Charge Corrections
We aim to be generous and responsible with gifts, while following nonprofit best practices:
We will promptly correct any duplicate transaction, processing error, or unauthorized charge once reported.
General refunds: As a rule, completed donations are not refundable. However, we may consider a refund request within 30 days of the transaction in limited circumstances (e.g., clear error). Requests must include the donor name, amount, date, and payment method.
Third-Party Processors & Fees
We may use reputable third-party payment platforms to process online donations. These providers handle card data using Payment Card Industry (PCI) practices and remit funds to us, net of standard processing fees. Your full donation amount is tax-deductible; fees are our operating cost unless you choose to “cover fees.”
Donor Privacy & Communications
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.
We use donor data to process gifts, send receipts, acknowledge generosity, and share impact updates.
You can opt out of non-transactional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
We safeguard data using administrative, technical, and physical controls appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.
Youth & Capacity to Give
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to complete the donation. By donating, you confirm you have the legal capacity and authorization to make the gift.
Changes to These Policies
We may update these policies periodically. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
